THREE IMPROVEMENTS
The International Institute for Peace Education (IIPE), meeting this year in Granada, Spain, made three suggestions for improvements in the approach on our website and we are adopting them.
First, they suggested that the development of the global movement for a culture of peace is a long-term process, for which the dissemination of the Peace Manifesto is only the first step. Therefore, we should encourage people to take further steps in addition to it. On our website, we now invite you to send us a brief description of the additional action that you take and we will publish it.
Second, the IIPE visited the towns of Taha in the mountains near Granada and received a beautiful local peace manifesto that they had written and adopted. We have added their manifesto to our website, and we encourage other localities around the world to make their own manifestos and share it with us in the coming months. Here is a suggested procedure that you can use. You can see Taha on the map below, and we hope that we can add many more local manifestos from around the world.
Third, they suggested that we encourage the dissemination of Peace Manifesto on alternative social media in addition to the media controlled by the American "Big Tech," with their problems as described here. We are seeking alternative media to put on our website, and will welcome your suggestions.

WHO WE ARE
The Peace Manifesto is a global, people-led campaign cultivating a Culture of Peace through collective action through digital mobilization and local/global engagement.
The campaign is inspired and guided by the legacy of Professor David Adams, who was responsible for the United Nations International Year for the Culture of Peace with the Manifesto 2000, signed by 75 million people around the world promising to promote the Culture of Peace and Non-violence.
The Peace Manifesto, soft-launched one year ago, builds on the same foundation, bringing it into the digital age as a living, participatory global movement, supported by a distinguished network of senior advisors, youth leaders and partners with Activating Teams to be established in all regions and all languages.
Peace becomes powerful when people actively practice and share its ideals.

HOW IT WORKS
We urge every citizen, residing anywhere and everywhere in the world to believe in our Manifesto’s message, ‘I am sick and tired of the Culture of War, so I give my support to the Culture of Peace and I will keep supporting the word on social media until we win.’ and share it through their social media, until the Manifesto becomes viral to support a Global Movement for the Culture of Peace.
° Individuals share our message from various social media that can be found on our website: https://activatingpeace.org/
° The website and messages are available in 14 major languages
° We have approaches customized for Anti-War Activists and Educators.
° Activating Teams are being created across the world to help organize, engage and localize the message. They can work in any language.
° It is simple to form an Activating Team. They need at least two members, and they need to commit at least two hours a month to posting and reposting the Manifesto.
